Connected Health Technology Company Withings announced that its Sleep Rx Mat, a non-invasive, contactless device designed to diagnose sleep apnea at home, has received FDA 510(k) clearance.
Sleep Rx Mat features include air pressure sensors to measure breathing rate, body movement, continuous heart rate, sleep cycles, sleep duration and sleep interruptions, while sound and movement sensors detect snoring and irregular breathing.
“We are excited to bring Sleep Rx to the U.S. market.” Antoine Robilliardvice president of Withings Health Solutions, said in a statement.
“Sleep Rx enables earlier and more accurate diagnosis, creating a new paradigm for diagnosing and managing sleep apnea. We know that one overnight assessment alone is not enough.”

The U-Scan reader comes with replaceable analysis cartridges that analyze a person’s urine for specific biomarkers and transmits the results daily to the Withings Health Mate app.

The partnership allows Withings tools for remote monitoring, including connected scales, blood pressure monitors, and sleep tracking mats, to collect patient data and integrate it with Medable’s clinical trial platform.
