Audrey McNeil, a 22-year-old Democratic National Convention (DNC) delegate in 2020 and 2024, publicly supported Donald Trump as a presidential candidate.
The change came after Ms. McNeil attended a rally in Atlanta where she witnessed what she described as “a real movement for freedom and constitutional values.” Her decision solidified as she saw Democrats increasingly straying from America’s core freedoms.
McNeil shared her support in a video capturing the moment she switched political allegiances after years as an ardent Democrat.
“In 2020, at age 18, I was elected to represent my district as one of the youngest delegates to the Democratic National Convention. And in 2024, I was elected again and returned to the DNC as a delegate.” she said.
“But this year, I’m voting for Donald Trump. You know, after I was elected in March, which was before the Joe Biden debate started, I’m voting for Donald Trump on free speech issues, the border, I wanted to go to the DNC because I wanted answers about the economy, but after reflecting on my time there, I realized that the DNC is no longer the party of free speech and liberty that it once was. Ta.”
Quoting a famous line from Founding Father Patrick Henry, McNeil added, “The liberties of the people have never been, and never will be, safe when the dealings of rulers are concealed from the people.” Ta.
She expressed regret at what she described as a “covert deal” within the DNC leadership.
She pointed to decisions made without transparency and accountability, particularly regarding the rise of Kamala Harris as the controversial Democratic candidate.
“And the fact that the ruling Democratic Party elite stripped away the votes of 14 million Americans, including my own delegates, to install Kamala Harris as their presidential candidate, well, that’s a cover-up. I am happy to say that I am now officially joining the Republican Party as a constitutional conservative.”

In August, a former Obama intern and lifelong Democrat who attended the DNC and voted for Joe Biden in 2020 slammed Democrats in a scathing video on social media. The Democratic Party is out of touch, elitist, and disconnected from the real struggles of everyday Americans.
Evan, who has spent much of his career working in “progressive politics,” signed up to volunteer at this year’s DNC in hopes of gaining renewed faith in the Democratic Party. Rather, she found herself more disillusioned than ever.
“But this week at the Democratic National Committee, I felt like I was in a building with some of the most elite and out-of-touch people in the world. “Let’s throw a big party and forget all our problems because the atmosphere is good.” ”It was something like that.
When I was there, I didn’t feel any connection to the real America or the Midwest, Kansas City, Kansas, Missouri, where I was from. I felt no connection to the people I know now who are struggling to buy groceries or pay rent. People want to know what both candidates are going to do to make a significant impact on their lives. ”
