TP Solar Limited (TP Solar), a wholly owned subsidiary of TATA Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) and a subsidiary of Tata Power, is a subsidiary of TATA Power, which operates India’s largest single-location solar manufacturing plant, and has secured a contract from Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) to supply 292.5 MWP DCR (domestic content licence). The project is awarded under the CPSU scheme Tranche-III and strengthens TP Solar’s commitment to advances in India’s renewable energy transition. The contract is rated at around 632 crores and involves delivery of high quality DCR modules to designated sites in Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh.

TVS Motor Company (TVSM) has launched the TVS King Duramax Plus and TVS King Deluxe Plus 3 Wheelers in Mexico. Both these passengers are designed like a three-wheeled car, with some smart features for driver and passenger comfort, and the durable and reliable engine has a low total cost of ownership.

Coal India Ltd (CIL) has announced a standard collection of 300 pounds per tonne for all mines under its subsidiary Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL). The collection, known as the “Singrauli Punarasthapan Charge,” will take place from May 1, 2025. The move is projected to generate additional revenue of 3,877.50 crores, and will apply above the notified coal price.

Transrail Lighting Ltd (Transtrail) announced on Thursday it will secure new orders worth 2,752 crores in its transmission and distribution division. With the latest victory, its order book touches on the 7,400 crore level, the company said in a statement.

State-owned infrastructure company Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has secured a contract of 135.66 crores from Central Railway. This project includes designing, supplying, erections, testing and commissioning of traction substation design, supplying, erections, testing and cross-section posts, and sub-section posts. Work awarded in EPC mode is expected to be completed within 24 months to support the railway freight target.

Granules India has notified in exchange that the US FDA has issued a warning letter to the Gagillapur facility based on an inspection conducted in August 2024. The FDA shows no further escalation. The company said it will respond within a defined time frame and show continued progress towards compliance in sought meetings with the FDA.

The National Court of Appeals for the Companies Act (NCLAT) took bankruptcy proceedings on Thursday against Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd (CDEL), which owns the cafe coffee day chain. Two NCLAT benches at Chennai Bench, including Sharad Kumar Sharma and Judge Jatindranath Swain, have put aside previous orders that passed the bench in Bengaluru of the National Corporations Court. Last year, the Bengaluru bench granted a petition by IDBI Tristeeship Services Ltd (IDBITSL) to charge £228.45 crore by default and appointed an interim resolution expert to run the debt-risking company.

Owned by Zomato, Blinkit began offering Apple products such as the MacBook Air, iPad and AirPods in select cities in India within 10 minutes. In an X post, he said consumers will be able to get MacBook Air, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch and other Apple accessories that will be delivered in 10 minutes.

India’s Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) said on Thursday it received a request notification of 479.88 crore for short payments of goods and services tax (GST) for 2020-21. The company received a communication/demand order for Maharashtra interest and penalty from the vice-chairman of state taxes on February 27, the LIC said in a regulatory filing.
