Senate Republicans are fighting each other about what to include in their tax cuts. Some senators like Ron Johnson (R-WI) want more spending cuts, while others like Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) are opposed to Medicaid cuts. I’m sure all the different factions have enough votes to kill the bill.
House Republicans are still fighting each other over the details of the final legislation, and House Republicans are debating with Senate Republicans about the final legislation.

Joe Biden is the one who decided to put a lot of clean energy accumulation in the Red State. Biden’s decision allows Democrats to have leverage points to use against the Republicans and the “big beautiful bill.”
Senate Democrats wouldn’t have this opening if Biden decides to make a clean energy investment in a strictly blue state.
Biden made an incredibly savvy decision. That could potentially lead Democrats to fail Trump on some of his agendas in 2025.
