General Hospital We see Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) increasing this hostility towards Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) basically from nowhere. This is his secret son. And this feels like another redo of the same old plot gh Where there is a secret parent-child relationship, they like to hate each other before they know they are related.
How many times have you known? gh Did you do this? That’s a lot. We’ll talk about it. It’s a soap stain belynda. And how will we look back soon gh They always develop secret fatherhood and childbirth connections, while hating people for each other. I think this is at least the fifth time they’ve done it. And now they’re playing it again with Dante and Geo.
Dante’s sudden hostility towards Gio: another common hospital secret parent plot?
For now, those who know Dante are Geo’s father, who are attorneys for Lois Cello (Lena Sofa), his mother Gloria Cello (Ellen Travolta), and Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight). I think that’s pretty much the case. But Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) in this case, she understands it and seems to have all this open up wide.
And this doesn’t like what Dante has to do with GIO, and it comes out all of a sudden. It’s very inappropriate and not organic, but very troublesome. It’s very forced. Honestly, that’s what I feel like seeing it. It feels unnatural and out-of-personal for Dante. Obviously, he was afraid of what Rocco Farceloni (Finn Francis Kerr) did, but when Rocco came to the drunken college party, Gio clearly did nothing wrong.
General Hospital: Do you want to repeat the plot?
The funny thing is that I was watching a Monday episode when my husband walked through my office and said, “GH would make Dante hate Gio the same way as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Dante.” I laughed and like, “Oh, they’re not going to do it again.” And a few minutes later I said, “Yeah, Hubby called it. They’re doing it again.”
Everyone thought Geo was a great kid up until this alcoholism incident. We have not heard any unkind words about him. And Dante suddenly blames Gioio for not taking him to the party, but he doesn’t know he’s there. And he even threatened criminal charges.
They hate Dante for a very transparent trickery. This is the fifth time, like I said, this has happened. Probably more, but 5. This is the fifth time I can remember. Remember the four times when the two characters hated each other before the big parents and children revealed? We’ll talk about it.
The Story of the First Secret Son of General Hospital: The Shocking Reveal of Sony and Dante
So, speaking of Dante, let’s talk about him and Sony first. If you’re watching General Hospital For a while, when Dante first came to Port Charles, he would remember that he had no idea that Sonny was his father. I didn’t know either Sony. Dante’s mother, Olivia Falconelli (Lisa Rocicero), became pregnant as a teenager, but she never told Sonny and raised him as a single mother.
And a few decades later, Lo and behold, Dante appeared in Portchuck as an infiltrating cop using a fake name. He was the boss of the mob, so he was trying to defeat Sony. And Dante got him the goods, but then he felt guilty for filing a lawsuit against Sony as they were approaching. And when the warrant was in, Dante finally said, “Okay, I have to do my job.”
He went to arrest Sonny, and by then Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny thought Dante was a police officer. Sony Set up a trap and he shot Dante Point Blank. He almost killed him. Olivia appears and yells at Sonny that she has just shot her son. That’s how Sony learned about his kids.
Dante is almost dead. He recovered. He didn’t leave Sony because he shot him. And they’re getting closer now, but Dante and Sony have been at odds for years as they are on the other side of the law. Now, behold, we are getting the storyline of the second generation secret sons with Gio and Dante. And while it’s not the same as the Sony and Dante story, the atmosphere and intentions are pretty much the same.
The Secret Mother-Daughter Drama of Sam and Alexis: A History of Conflict and Connection
Next, we can’t forget Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Gran). Things got off to a bad start when he and Alexis’ daughter, Christina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) were sick and Sam got pregnant with Sonny.
And Alexis wanted Sam to induce labor early so that he could use stem cells from the umbilical cord to save Christina as they were half-sisters. And Sam was very passive. She knew it would be dangerous, but in the end she agreed. And of course, sadly, Baby Lila has passed away.
So there was a lot of responsiveness from Sam, who was aiming for Alexis. And things got worse between them when her brother, Danny Morgan, was almost dying of encephalitis. Alexis also had it and got a life-saving serum, but Danny didn’t. And he died. And of course, Sam named his son Danny (Asher Jared Antonidine) after his brother Danny.
General Hospital: Family Fallout from Secret Children
Just before he died, Danny tells Sam that she had been adopted. And at the same time, it happened that her dislike for Alexis was escalating. And of course, she wasn’t excited when Sam later found out that Alexis was her mother. Things got even more troublesome between Sam and Alexis when Sam was sleeping with Rick Lansing (Rick Hurst) while Sam was married to Alexis.
What’s worse, when Sam and Rick were doing the act on the living room rug, Alexis actually saw them go through the window to it. I remember it very vividly. And ultimately, Sam and Alexis grew into this wonderful mother-daughter relationship. And of course, when Cyrus Renault (Jeff Cober) killed her last year, she tragically lost Sam. This was yet another storyline conceived to make secret parents and children hate each other before a big reveal.
Nina and Willow’s Difficult Road: Revealing a Secret Mother-Daughter Relationship in GH
Next, we talked about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Willow Tate (Katelyn MacMullen), right? They hated each other from the jump. It came back when Michelle Stafford played the role of Nina. And at the time Willow was a teacher of Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and Nina was her devoted stepmother. That was when she was with Valentin Kassadin (James Patrick Stuart).
So Nina made the willow awful. She accused Charlotte of being unfair and unkind. And, after all, Willow was on the right. The child was a bully at school, so Charlotte was wrong. And Nina tries to fire Yanagi.
And Nina probably made it happen if a petition signed by many other parents saved Willow’s work. Meanwhile, Nina was on the mission to find her long-lost missing daughter who gave birth in that 20 years of coma. It turns out that her daughter was Nell Benson (Chloe Lanier).
General Hospital: Does Twin Twist fail?
But there’s more to come as Harmony Miller (Ingakadranel) turns out not Willow’s Biomama and Nina. So they did a lot of scouting in addition to this. It turns out that Nina had a coma and had twin girls, and her awful mom, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills), wanted children from Nina’s life, as she hated her twin father, Cyrus Clay (Michael Easton).
So Nell died tentatively and Nina thought she would never become a mom, so a twin twist. And soon Nina wanted to put their past behind them, so she could become the willow mom, but she refused her, and it was just a lot of back and forth. Of course, they are in a good place now, but it appears that Nina is doomed because she is plotting against Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Matheson). It feels like Willow and Nina’s relationship is on borrowed time.
Original GH Secret Parent Hate Story: Bobby and Carly’s unstable beginning
And lastly, at least, I’m going to go back in time to the beginning of these storylines I can remember GH, These are Bobby Spencer (Jacklyn Zemann) and Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright). He was particularly volatile with them as Carly came to Port Charles Helvent after destroying his biological mom Bobby.
So this first story was slightly different, as she knew Bobby was her mom when she came to town. So that’s kind of why I last saved this, but every decade, it was really the origins of everything they were repeating and repeating and continuing. Carly didn’t have the best childhood, so she resented Bobby. She thought her mom was having this charming life in Port Charles and just kicked her.
Of course, Carly didn’t know about Bobby’s rough and tragic upbringing. I have lived as a prostitute since my teenage years and worked as a prostitute for years. All Carly saw was this lovely soft life that Bobby had worked so hard on, and she just wanted to destroy it. So, Carly seduces Bobby’s husband, Tony Jones (Brad Mall), and destroys their marriage.
It was all the obstacles they could overcome, but they ultimately had a loving mother-daughter relationship until Bobby’s sad death in May 2023. General Hospital, And it appears they are going to chase the suit with Dante and Gio. Hopefully they are father and son, and they don’t hate Gio and Dante completely before it becomes clear that hopefully the bomb will fall sooner than later. You have to wait and see.
