Luke Humphries and Jonny Clayton went through a volatile Last-Leg firefight, while Luke Littler was far from his best as eight elite PDC players advanced to the quarterfinals of the Nordic Darts Masters.
World No 1 Humphries – played his first match since winning his Maiden Premier League title a week ago – pitting Latvian Madaz Razma 6-5, firing at the maximum and firing 125 match Krillin checkouts with Copenhagen’s deciding leg.
Razma fought back from 5-2 in four match darts from Humphreys. He will face defending champion Gerwin Price in the final eighth of Saturday evening.
Clayton – who registered a 170 finish that climbed the roof – spent even more nervous time than Humphreys, survived two match darts from Lithuania’s Darius La Banauska, wasted four, pinned a D5 and booked Steven Bunting for the last eight dates.
The litler will proceed after the start is late
The final 16 was the biggest favorite of the world champion Littler, who pitted eight household PDC names against the octets of the Nordic and Baltic stars, fighting Swedish Victor Tingstrom.
However, nuclear weapons were slow to begin, and on average in the ’70s with two opening legs, including a 12-dirt break in the seventh leg, and eventually saw them win 6-3.
Still, a few visits from 30 and nine people contributed to an average of 90.19. He will likely need to improve in the quarterfinals against Nathan Aspineol, who whitewashed Danish crowd favorite Benjamin Reus 6-0.
Aspinall – the winner of European darts, which opened in Germany last week – was badly booed by home fans, but then put in a display with a good finish, including 138 checkouts and 92 checkouts after a consecutive D18 finish.
Reus missed all five attempts with doubles and has yet to score a foot in the history of this tournament.
In the final quarter final, Chris Dobby pits towards Rob Cross, the former defeating Jeffrey de Graf 6-2, while the latter sees Andreas Harryson 6-4 in the opening round.
Harrysson, who won a prominent victory over former world champions Raymond van Barneveld and Michael Smith at Leverkusen last week, cross-tested the cross after sealing the victory by hitting a back-to-back D18.
