Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is essentially threatening to publicize all sexual assault allegations against Republican members of Congress, relying on blackmail to help her friend Matt Gaetz.
As Gates’ nomination for attorney general looks increasingly hopeless, Greene posted:
To my Republican colleagues in the House and Senate,
If we’re going to release an ethics report and tear apart President Trump’s ethics report; appoints and then releases everything to the American people.
yes..
All ethics reports and claims, including those submitted by me.
All of your sexual harassment and assault claims were quietly settled at the expense of the victims with taxpayer money.
Jeffrey Epstein’s complete files, tapes, recordings, and witness interviews
But that’s not all, there’s a lot more, Epstein is not the only asset/not the only one
If you want to dance, let’s all dance under the sunshine.
I will definitely do that.
If Ms. Greene follows through on this threat, it would be an uproar for Democrats and a nightmare for her fellow senators.
Marjorie Taylor quickly moved on to attack the first transgender member of Congress, so it’s unclear whether she will follow through on her threats, but one thing is for certain: senators don’t respond well to threats. Greene has included members of Congress in her threats as she seeks to prevent the House Ethics Committee from releasing its report on Gaetz.
By the time allies are already threatening the House and Senate to keep the nomination, the nomination is probably already dead.
