When Americans voted for Trump, what did they think they were voting for? Some people thought they were voting for someone who would eliminate the economic damage caused by the coronavirus. Some believed they were voting for someone who would improve their financial situation. Others were just angry and wanted change.
None of these people thought they were voting for a president who would pardon child pornographers, but that’s what they got.
Speaking on MSNBC’s The Last Word, Lawrence O’Donnell said:
President Trump did not end the Ukraine war on day one. President Trump did not round up people in this country wholesale for deportation on day one. But on the first day, Donald Trump pardoned child pornographers. No president has ever done that. Donald Trump pardoned the biggest global drug trafficker in history. Two pardons, something no president in history had ever considered.
And tonight too, and tonight too. And Donald Trump said earlier tonight on FOX that no parent wants to see their child leave home as a boy and come back two days later as a girl. And there are states where that can happen. Now, what if Joe Biden or any other president said something this crazy and impossible?

You can imagine the roar from the White House press corps. And you can imagine right now that no one from this White House press corps is going to come out about that. A statement that the child leaves home as a boy and returns two days later as a girl. And there are states where that can happen.
It’s like saying a child leaves home as a boy and comes back two years later, two days later, as a horse. That can’t happen. There’s a crazy pathological liar in the White House who talks like that. And the White House press corps will accept it. Don’t scream about it like they constantly screamed during the last president.
And there probably won’t be any questions about Donald Trump pardoning someone who used child pornography, and so far there hasn’t been any. The child porn user is also a fan of Donald Trump and attacked police officers at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. Federal prosecutors say Andrew Kyle Grigsby was the tip of the spear on the West Front of the Capitol when he wasn’t busy committing crimes on behalf of Donald Trump.
