Will Smith wants to make one thing perfectly clear.
He has nothing to do with the endless allegations surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs.
As you probably know by now, Diddy is currently in jail and awaiting trial on numerous charges, many of which stem from rape and sexual assault charges.
growing scandal
Earlier this week, the hip-hop legend was embroiled in a scandal after an anonymous accuser claimed that he and Diddy raped Jay-Z.
She was only 13 years old at the time of the alleged incident in 2000.
Perhaps trying to pre-empt his own legal drama, Will denied having an affair with Diddy during a concert in San Diego on Thursday night.
“The world we’re in right now is so hard to tell what’s real and what’s real,” Will told the audience. TMZ.
“I have never spoken publicly about this, but I wanted to make this clear: I have nothing to do with Puffy, so please stop all the memes.”
Will didn’t go into detail about the meme, but it seems like he’s upset about some of the content he’s seen circulating on social media.
“You can stop those bulls–I’m not anywhere near those motherfuckers. I’m good enough to take care of myself and not worry about anyone else. ” he continued, referring to Diddy’s infamous sex party.
“I’ve never been near that person. [or] Whenever you guys hear that, it’s a damn lie because I never did anything stupid like that. ”
Needless to say, Will was adamant that he had nothing to do with Diddy.
However, he took a slightly lighter approach, joking, “I don’t even like baby oil.” Obviously, Will doesn’t want to end up answering Diddy-related questions, as Jay-Z might soon do.
What’s next for Diddy?
As for the man at the center of all this, it looks increasingly likely that he will remain locked up for a very long time.
Didi’s bail requests have been repeatedly denied as her accusers continue to come forward with horrific allegations of abuse.
The jailed hip-hop mogul’s lawyer continues to maintain his innocence.
They will have a chance to make their case in court when Diddy’s trial begins in May.
But no matter how the trial unfolds, I think it’s safe to say that the court of public opinion has already reached its verdict.
