Iinventiv is the flagship event of the Ministry of Education, which was first held in 2022 with a special feature in IIT Delhi, with only the Indian Institute of Technology. With the exception of IIT, NIT, IISC and IISERS, the second edition of the event with participating institutions from the top 50 of the NIRF took place last year in IIT Hyderabad.

Highlights of the third edition include the release of a coffee table book on major innovations from higher education institutions in India and “Chintangshibil”.

“Cintanshibil or brainstorming sessions featuring key experts in government, industry, academia and start-ups are organized for each theme area and followed by each session on what the current research and development, focus is. The discussion continues, and the reporter for each session will be responsible for drafting the outcome paper that will be presented at the closing of the event,” Kamakoty said.

“The focus of these discussions is on the specific needs of the industry and how academic institutions can coordinate research efforts to meet these requirements. The role of government and start-ups will be added to the discussion.” he said.

The subject areas covered include artificial intelligence and machine learning technology. Aviation, defense and space, marine technology. Medical and Healthcare Engineering; Rural Technology. Smart cities and infrastructure. Advanced manufacturing (industrial 4. and 5.0) and cyclicity and sustainability (energy and e-mobility).

Coffee table books on major innovations from Indian higher education institutions that have had a major impact on the industry will be released during the event.
