Republican Rep. Byron Donald said,Sunday morning futures” on Sunday with Maria Bartiromo to discuss President Trump’s America First policy.
“Mike Johnson says he plans to have a bill on energy permits, borders and tax extensions on President Trump’s desk by the end of April,” Bartiromo said.
“I think the job now is to put together an overall package, especially in the House,” Donald said.
“We use this phrase a lot on Capitol Hill: ‘Planes have to be built while they’re in the air,'” Donald said.
“We’re going to need some reforms, we’re going to need some cuts. So when you combine all of this with border security, which is essential to all of this as well as tax policy, we can make it happen. . We’re just working on the details,” Donald continued.
Mr. Bartiromo asked Mr. Donald whether the plan was realistic given the reluctance of some senators to vote in favor of raising the debt ceiling.
“I’ve already talked to several senators who say there’s no way they would vote for repealing or raising the debt ceiling,” Bartiromo said.
“Is it really realistic that we can make this happen?” Bartiromo asked.
“In terms of the tax system as a whole, most of it would be reauthorizing the Trump tax cuts, which, by the way, are the best tax policy our country has ever had,” Donald said.
Bartiromo also questioned Donald about Biden awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros.
“You saw last weekend that Joe Biden gave America’s highest civilian award to George Soros, the Democratic Party’s biggest donor,” Bartiromo commented.
“What do you think about these Medal of Freedom awards?” Bartiromo asked.
“In my opinion, it’s just crazy. First of all, George Soros is the absolute left of our politics, everyone knows that, for Joe Biden and his team, and for me “To be honest with his team, Maria, do we really know what Joe Biden is thinking on a day-to-day basis?” Donald asked.
“It makes no sense at all that Democrats want to use their last moments to reward their leftists, but we’re going to make America great, we’re going to focus on the American people.” continued Donald.
