Thanks to recent comments about Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) is in hot water today.
At the 2025 dinner for the Human Rights Campaign in Los Angeles on Saturday, Crockett created what he believes is an offensive reference to Abbott’s disability.
“We’re these Hot A-Texas Avenues, honey,” Crockett added.

“Yeah, we know we got the Governor’s Hot Wheels out there, come right now.
Abbott, 67, has been confined to wheelchairs since 1984 when an oak tree fell on him while he was jogging.
For obvious reasons, many jumped at the conclusion that Crockett’s “hot wheel” remarks were a reference to his injuries.
However, in a tweet posted a while ago, the 43-year-old lawmaker claimed that it was not the case.

“I wasn’t thinking about the governor’s condition. I was thinking about the planes, trains and cars he used to move immigrants into a community led by a black mayor. Crockett wrote.
“Literally, the next line I said was that he was “hot a** confused” referring to his terrible policies. He never mentioned or hinted at his condition.”
“So I’m even more appalled by the infuriation of the very people who explicitly support Trump, known for racially insensitive nicknames and for oc-loling people with disabilities now.”
Crockett concluded by accusing Republicans of using her statements as a distraction Recent negative news articles It relates to the Trump administration.
“Stay the same energy for all people, not just your political enemies,” she writes.

“Finally, this is yet another distraction. Instead of wandering around with all my words, my political enemy should focus on doing the work of those who have chosen us to improve our lives.”
As typical of these highly militant times, Crockett’s response to tweets was overwhelmingly hostile.
“You’re an ignorant and incompetent distraction. You must have gone through school for Day. One despicable reply came.
“You’ve noticed that you don’t hold yourself to the same standards that you hold Republican colleagues. Just look at what you are.” I wrote another user who was furious.
