Former Pakistani captain Shoaib Malik opened up bond with his son Izan after his divorce from Indian tennis icon Sania Mirza. The duo officially ended their marriage in January 2024.
However, they continue to co-parent with their son Izan. Sania has primary custody of the child, but Shoaib Malik has revealed that he will visit his son at least twice a month in Dubai.
He recently revealed his bond with his son on a Pakistan Ramzan show.
“Uske Saath Jo Relationship Woh Ek Dosti Wala Hai. (Relationship with him is a friendship relationship.
Shoaib also revealed how his bond with his son is and that they will connect over video calls and discuss things regularly.
“Mera Uske Saath Bahaut Acha Bond Hai (I have a very good bond with him). I connect with him on video calls every day and discuss everything,” he added.
Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza ended their marriage after being together for 14 years.

He is currently not playing international cricket for Pakistan, but he is still playing competitive cricket at the age of 43, taking part in the ongoing National T20 Cup and captaining the Sialcot Region team.
He played 35 Tests in Pakistan and runs with 1898 scores and 32 wickets. In whiteball cricket, he played 287 ODIs, earning 7534 runs and 158 wickets. From 124 T20IS, he scored 2435 runs and grabbed 28 wickets.
Additionally, Shoaib Malik is a veteran and plays in T20 franchise leagues around the world. He played up to 552 T20 and scored 13,535 runs with 186 wickets on the ball.
The All-Round also performed in the first edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and represented the Delhi Dare Devils (now Delhi Capitals).
