Many people praise Triple H’s creative direction in WWE. He has built several strong storylines since becoming the top creative officer of Stanford-based promotions.
WWE fans have seen Bloodline Saga reach conclusions under the game. He also helped several superstars move from NXT to the main roster and enter the prominent storyline.
However, not everything is under Triple H’s creative control. The former world heavyweight champion has been ramming through several major stories in recent months.
Check out four major WWE storylines that have failed to flourish under Triple H’s creative control.
#4. Feud for Bron Breakker and AJ Styles Intercontinental Championship
Earlier this year, Bron Breakker met in a return AJ style. The two men faced off on February 10, 2025 in the WWE Raw edition. WWE fans were immediately fired to see the rivalry between the two men for the InterContinental Championship.
They met a few more in the subsequent episodes of Raw, so that didn’t stop there. Breakker even tried to spear the AJ style, but instead came across Dominik Mysterio.
Triple H ended its rivalry abruptly without a match. Instead, Penta made her debut and took part in the InterContinental Championship race. WrestleMania 41 will see Bron Breakker defending the title against Penta, Finvalor and Dominique Mysterio.
The veteran and breakker match could have been a better draw. However, AJ Styles are reserved to play Logan Paul instead.
#3. Alexa Bliss ‘WWE RETURN
Five-time women’s champion Alexablis returned to WWE two years later at the 2025 Royal Rumble. Her return took social media by storm as fans were ready to see her in some big feuds.
Many wanted to see Bliss reach the next level by siding quickly with Wyatt Sids. But that didn’t happen.
She took part in a women’s elimination chamber match but was unable to win the contest. Triple H has been keeping her out of the ring ever since.
Alexa Bliss may be spending more time at home with her family and will compete as a part-timer. Triple H may have managed to handle her case well after her long-awaited return, but it appears he’s dropped the ball with her for now.
She may have been featured on the WrestleMania Card. However, she doesn’t seem to be in a big rivalry until after the event.
#2. Roxanne Perez did not revenge on Bailey
Bayley and Roxanne Perez got caught up in an interesting rivalry where they saw both women appear in each other’s brand. They competed against each other in multi-woman matches to entertain the fans and keep the tension high.
Roxanne’s tickets to the main roster were ready as their rivals got hot. The former NXT women’s champion even competed in women’s elimination chamber matches.
Triple H ended their rivalry without giving the two stars a single match on the raw roster. They could have continued their feud towards WrestleMania, but Hunter opposed it.
Instead, Roxanne Perez continues to appear in WWE NXT, but Bayley will work with Lyra Valkyria to face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the tag team for the tag title.
#1. Triple H did not let Drew McIntyre get the rule of Rome
Drew McIntyre returned late last year after his rivalry with CM Punk. He attacked Sami Zain, causing a rivalry between the two stars.
McIntyre reveals that he will take away all members of the original lineage, as all members of the original lineage had mistaken him. Rome’s rule was the final target of his radar.
He defeated Zayn several times before losing the match against Jay Uso. Triple H ended the storyline there, and there was no point in why Drew had to fall from the storyline.
He could have easily defended his “Bloodline Hunter” persona and clashed with the governance heading towards WWE WrestleMania 41.
