It’s not easy to achieve protein goals with just eggs for breakfast, as it’s difficult to eat more than one or two eggs. However, these marinated eggs are the exception. I could probably eat 4-6 as a meal, but I love topping them with pork bowls, salads, or raw salmon and some red chili peppers.

I recently decided to find a way to make it myself, eating jammy eggs and a delicious pork bowl at my local noodles bar. They let you add extra flavor o jammy eggs, but they charged you $1 per half of the egg. $24 for a dozen eggs?? Certainly I can make these at home.

After a few tries, I finally dialed this recipe. Now these are one of my top 3 ways to make eggs.

If you’re looking for an easy, nutritious snack or meal addition, look no further than these tasty jammy eggs. Imagine the creamy, lethargic egg yolk of soft boiled eggs infused with the rich umami flavor of a marinated o. These eggs are not only a satisfying protein boost, but are filled with delicious, delicious flavors that enhance any dish.

Ama has marinated eggs

Soy sauce eggs, Japanese ramen eggs, Korean Mayak Guieran… these eggs are told by several different names. Their roots are in Asian cuisine and you will find variations in Japanese, Korean and Chinese. The ingredients vary depending on the recipe, but the basic idea is to marinate boiled eggs in a marinade sauce.

Mirin (sweet rice vinegar), soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili peppers are common ingredients. This version features salty soy sauce, garlic and onions for a delicious flavor, and maple syrup for a slightly natural sweetness.

Let’s dive into how to make eggs that are seriously addictive and get in the way of these flavors!

Ajio Jammy Egg Recipe

These soy marinated eggs have a tender center and are jammy and tasty. It is a great appetizer yourself or is served sliced in salads or soups.

  • 3 TBSP Taste o paste (White or yellow is the most effective)
  • ½ cup soy sauce (or Tamari if it’s gluten-free)
  • 2 TBSP Maple syrup
  • ½ cup hot water
  • 1 TBSP Sesame seeds
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Finely chopped)
  • 4 Green onion (Finely chopped)
  • 1 dash Sheelachar (Optional, for a little kick!)
  • 12 Big egg
  • In a large bowl, stir all ingredients (except eggs) together and set aside.

  • Fill the pan with a few glasses of water over high heat and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat if necessary to prevent boiling water from boiling too much.

  • Carefully add the eggs to boiling water and cook for 6 minutes to cook the jammy egg yolk (slightly flowing in the center). If you prefer a harder egg yolk, cook for 9 minutes. These cooking times give you a great balance of slightly firm egg whites and tender, rich egg yolks.

  • Gently remove the stubborn eggs from the water pan and place them in an icy bowl of water to stop the cooking process. Peel off the cooked eggs in ice water a few minutes later. Don’t worry if the eggshells get a little rough. The marinade hides imperfections!

  • Remove the skinned eggs from the ice bath and place them in a container of the savory marinade. Make sure the eggs are completely soaked in the liquid. Gently press down with a spoon if necessary. Cover and refrigerate the airtight container for more than 6 hours, but overnight is perfect for deep flavorful injections.
