As a discovery that can reconstruct our understanding of cognitive decline, researchers can directly activate the brain insulin reaction system and open new paths to prevent dementia. I revealed that there was sex.

The Team of the Latigars University Wick School has discovered that the high -strength exercise session causes special brain cells from medium strength to release proteins that are essential to insulin sensitivity (body abilities that use blood sugar effectively). 。 This mechanism may explain why regular physical activities can help maintain cognitive functions even as they age.

According to Stephen Marine, the leading professor at the University of Latgus University, and the leading author of this study, “Improving the ability of insulin in which movement acts on the brain can improve cognitive and memory. I think this research is important because it suggests. ” 。

This study focused on a small cell structure called an extracellular cells that transport essential proteins between brain cells. These vesicles were once considered to be mere “dust of cells,” but have been recognized for the past 15 years to play an important role in cell communication.

In the two -week test, 21 participants of diabetes, 60 years old, completed 12 monitored one -hour exercise sessions. Researchers analyzed blood samples before and after the training program, and found that insulin -sensitive proteins, especially AKT proteins, are increasing.

“We have indicated for the first time in relation to clinical improvement of blood sugar levels, for the first time that exercise affects insulin signal transmission from genital cells,” said Professor Marin.

The effect is not limited to the prevention of diabetes. Insulin plays an important role in memory formation, cognitive processing, and communication between brain cells. If the brain tissue becomes resistant to insulin, the same cognitive dysfunction may be caused by Alzheimer’s disease.

Mr. Marin explained the breakdown as follows: “It’s like playing a phone game with a friend. If your brain becomes insulin resistance, your message will be lost at some point.”

In past studies, it has shown that the rise in blood sugar levels may impair learning and memory, but the accurate mechanism that links exercise and brain function is unknown. This study provides specific evidence about how physical activity can help maintain cognitive health.

Research teams, including scientists from the National Institute of Sanitation Institute, are currently investigating whether brain reactions to insulin can be increased even in one exercise session. They measure cerebral blood flow in obese elderly people and track these cell messenger.

This study, published in the journal “Aging Cell”, suggests that targeting the brain insulin reaction system may lead to new treatments to prevent recognition decline. For millions of Americans in the previous diabetes facing the increase in dementia risk, this study can help the regular movements to protect brain health.

Other contributors to this study are Michal Berli, director of Herbert, Jacqueline Cleaner, Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, and Ph.D. Includes. The National Institute of Aging Contains Dimtorios Caposiannis, Maya MustaPick, and Francesca Delgado Peraza.
