Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are vying for the top spot in the White House, including in battleground states. Control of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate are also at stake, along with state and local issues.
Most polling organizations report that the presidential election remains very close.
Leading pollster Nate Silver said his election model has Trump in the lead. Silver’s election model gives Harris a 46.2% chance of winning, while Trump has a 53.4% chance of winning.
“In other words, this is very close to flipping a coin,” Silver wrote on Thursday. “While our mid-October forecasts had Trump moving significantly higher, there was little sign that the race would continue to tilt toward Trump in the final weeks, with seven of the most important battleground states remaining implausible. It continues to be a very close battle.”
