Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass faced significant criticism and embarrassment after her handling of a press conference regarding the wildfires currently engulfing the city.
Bass, who is in his first term as mayor, was initially criticized by critics for being absent during the crisis and returning on a military plane from a trip to Ghana.

Old tweets resurface
On top of all this, Karen Bass was humiliated after an old post criticizing Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) for not being in town during the crisis resurfaced on X. I received it.
“Ted Cruz’s flight from Texas in the midst of a deadly crisis is part of a larger pattern of Republicans abandoning people in crisis,” Bass wrote at the time.
“We need to build a movement to get them all out.”
