Disney fans are waiting for Walt Disney’s tech robots to arrive this summer, heading for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, but interactive Mickey Mouse is now available for purchase, where you can flash and speak while eating popcorn from your head.
IO9 was holding the latest demo of Popcorn Bucket Arms Race, which began at Disney’s theme park before becoming a hottest cinema souvenir. The AMC Theatre Sand Dunes The sandwarm popcorn bucket looked like the peak of the out-of-out and bonker snack cars. Disney is back with a robot upgrade. Check out the movements and blink buckets you can dig into while engaging in a simple “Mickey?” and fun conversation starter.
Certainly, it is pre-programmed with just a handful of phrases, but the real treat is a moving head and blinking eye. It’s amazing and a bit creepy, but at least in a cute way. When you ask magical questions, the interactive setting responds to your voice. I literally cried out, and it ignored me, but somehow I was able to hear a friend of that cast member. Maybe I had to lower my voice to a octave or two with my best Gaston spoofing in order to be perceived by the robot Mickey Mouse.
I don’t see movie theatres adding audio activations to their buckets, but maybe unless they do that m3gan, This is a fun, quirky addition to the Popcorn Bucket Hall of Fame. All I can do is imagine what a popcorn bucket will do by the time Disneyland turns 80.
Talk and move around Mickey Mouse popcorn buckets at Disneyland Resort this summer.
