If you have an Xbox and are feeling nostalgic, a visit to the soon-to-be-shuttered Xbox 360 Marketplace might give you a much-needed dopamine boost for little money. Microsoft and its publishing partners are selling dozens of games from that era at deep discounts in their last big sale before it all shuts down at the end of the month.
Microsoft Just announced their final sale The soon-to-be-defunct Xbox 360 Marketplace is offering Xbox 360 titles at discounted prices, and the discounts are pretty steep considering these were titles that were hot topics just a decade ago.
AAA titles like Dead Island and Metro 2033 are in the “95% off” row alongside arthouse fare like Mighty No. 9. Epic Games’ pre-Fortnite AAA classic Bulletstorm is also 90% off. Even NCAA Basketball 09, the game that sued the NCAA Football franchise into obscurity, is available.
There’s a lot of great stuff here – the names alone are nostalgic – but before you buy, make sure you own an Xbox 360 or that these items are compatible with your Xbox One or Xbox Series X.
These games are part of your Microsoft/Xbox account and can be very valuable if they are compatible with the latest hardware.
I still have my Xbox 360, but I know what I’m going to buy first. As if I needed to answer this question, I’m going to buy Kane & Lynch: Dead Men for $2.99. I can’t believe this game is old enough to drive. Oh, kids grow up so fast…
Perhaps due to nostalgia, the Xbox 360 Marketplace will be shutting down on July 29th.
