Can you see Tyson Fury return to the ring?

The 36-year-old will not be headlined for a long time, but his boxing return could be on the card along with former trainer Sugarhill Steward on Monday.

Fury retired from boxing in January in the aftermath of his second defeat to Olexandre Usaik, but the announcement came in a salt pinch given his previous track record of turning his decision to reversal.

With the prospect of a British heavyweight showdown with Anthony Joshua still on the table, returning from his previous four retirements, Fury’s reunion with the steward trained him in seven fights suggests that he could write one final chapter.

“Just in the gym. I happened to bump into someone you know,” Fury said. I changed the camera to a steward.

Fury announced his retirement multiple times, claiming that he would never return to boxing rings just two years ago.

After splitting with former trainer Ben Davison in December 2019, Fury worked with Steward ahead of his second fight with Deontay Wilder in 2020.

Together with Steward, Fury claimed consecutive victories over Wilder, then defeated Dillian White, Derek Chisora and Francis Ngannow to set up an indisputable heavyweight clash with USYK.

The timing of Fury’s post was also notable just hours after Daniel Dubois and Usaik’s rematch at Wembley Stadium was confirmed on July 14th.

Fury’s January resignation announcement overshadowed DuBois’ press conference ahead of his heavyweight title fight with Joseph Parker, and this latest release drew attention to the former heavyweight champion.

“Dick Turpin was wearing a mask.”

Fury surprised the boxing world when he announced his retirement from boxing in January 2025.

“I want to announce my retirement from boxing,” he said. “It was an explosion. I love it every minute and this is it – Dick Turpin was wearing a mask!”

Fury’s reference to Dick Turpin, perhaps the country’s most infamous highwayman, suggests there is more to him than he saw in his supposed retirement.

Eddie Hearn discusses Anthony Joshua.

Sky Sports News Reporter Michael Bridge spoke to Eddie Hearn about Anthony Joshua’s next step

One proposal could have mentioned consultations about a potential fight with Joshua, and his announcement was made just two days after promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that Wembley was reserved for the final fight that will take place in the summer.

“He has never put his great British rival Anthony Joshua in a box,” concluded at the time, Sky Sports Boxing journalist John Denen, prophetically.

So, does Fury vs. Joshua still happen?

Bob Alm of Tyson Fury

Bob Arum, the top rank CEO and former Fury promoter, believes that the Gypsy King should cut his gloves and be happy with the career he has and become a sports spokesman.

Promoter Frank Warren said Sky Sports He has not given a new lecture on Fury’s ring return.

“If he wants to come back, that would be his choice,” Warren said. “I, I didn’t even discuss it with him.

“It has to be his decision if he does. In the meantime, I want him to enjoy his life, his family, because he enjoys it.”

Hearn discusses who could become AJ’s next person when he returns

When asked about Joshua’s goals, Hearn said:

“He’s not only a two-time world heavyweight champion, but he’s also changed the face of the sport in this country. He paves the way for these stadium fights to make them the norm.

“But he still loves sports. He still thinks he has a lot to do physically to give, so this is the last roll of the dice and we have to get it right.
