With all his accomplishments and numerous records in the NFL, Tom Brady is undoubtedly the league’s GOAT. He is considered one of the world’s greatest athletes, alongside legends such as Roger Federer, Sachin Tendulkar, and Michael Jordan. But despite his accomplishments and all the accolades, Brady is hesitant to accept that title.

Immediately after Super Bowl III, a 13-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in February 2019, Brady revealed that he doesn’t like the title label. In an exclusive interview with Good Morning America, he said:

“I don’t like it and it’s disgusting.”

Brady believes the title could have a negative impact on his performance, as he is more driven by criticism than praise.

“I wish they would have told me, ‘You’re trash, you’re too old, you’re too late, you can’t make it anymore,'” Brady said. Very; I’ll try to prove you wrong. ”

Brady was at his brightest in the second half of his career. As the years passed, he gained experience and aged like fine wine. Thanks to flexibility therapy by Alex Guerrero, Brady was able to stay injury-free and healthy, and the age factor never caught up with him.

Brady believes he is his own biggest critic, which motivates him to bring out the best in himself.

“I think it’s more of a personal criticism, you walk out of the practice field and you’re like, ‘That was a bad day, get your head together,’ and sports have always brought that out,” he said. Ta. inside me. ”

Tom Brady stands up to silence doubters

If you look closely at the trajectory of Tom Brady’s career, you’ll see that he has risen through the ranks whenever he was most suspected. Drafted 199th overall in the 2000 draft, Brady sat on the bench until the 2001-02 season when Drew Bledsoe was injured and he was given an opportunity to play. Brady led the Patriots to Super Bowl XXXVI, marking the beginning of the epic Brady Belichick era.

Another example occurred late in his career when he left the Patriots. Fans doubted that Brady would be the same without Belichick and the Patriots, but Brady once again proved them wrong. He joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and led the team to a Super Bowl victory in his first season.

These Super Bowl wins highlight Brady’s essential qualities of fighting back against doubters.
