With Joe Biden’s unexpected return to the White House, Kamala Harris abruptly canceled her planned trip to Los Angeles late Thursday, choosing instead to remain in Washington, D.C.
The sudden change in schedule has fueled speculation that the Biden administration is in a growing crisis as it faces mounting challenges, including a possible government shutdown.
Camara left Washington at 9:15 p.m. ET and was scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles around midnight, but canceled her trip at noon without providing further details.
The White House issued a brief press release confirming Kamala’s decision, saying only that the press would be briefed privately and that Kamala would be in Washington for internal meetings.
