Now, inject this into my vein. Claire McCaskill, a former Democratic senator and current MSNBC contributor, broke down in tears while discussing Kamala Harris’ landslide loss to Donald Trump.
And has it ever been more glorious?
The emotional breakdown followed Harris’ concession speech on the Howard University campus on Wednesday. Harris vowed to keep fighting.
“The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, it’s not what we fought for, and it’s not what we voted for,” Harris said. “But hear me out…As long as we never give up, and as long as we keep fighting, the light of America’s promise will always burn bright.”
This seems to have moved Mr. MacAskill to tears.
Claire McCaskill is heartbroken
While MSNBC was covering the speech, anchor Nicole Wallace noticed that her colleague Claire McCaskill was having trouble putting her speech together.
“So Claire MacAskill will decide on the mission and its purpose,” Wallace began before realizing something was wrong. “Um, are you okay?”
Those three words may be the same thing slapped on our foreheads as we all try to get along with our liberal friends at this very difficult time for them.
MacAskill replied, “I think it’s okay.”
She wasn’t. “Tell me what you’re thinking,” Ms. Wallace said, although perhaps a sofa for the former senator to lie down on would have been nice.
Well, some psychiatrists get paid $375 an hour for that kind of treatment.

Let those tears flow, girl! I’m thirsty!

She claims Harris ran a great campaign.
Claire McCaskill, like many Harris supporters, is struggling to cope with Donald Trump’s historic victory. They have spent the last two years truly believing this man was going to prison, but instead he is the next president and back in the White House.
Not since Grover Cleveland in 1893 has the United States elected presidents on non-consecutive terms.
What a wonderful time to be alive!
But Claire wants people to know how great Kamala’s campaign was. It was so wonderful that she wiped away her tears many times while remembering how wonderful it was.
“Yeah, I’m so proud. Oh, I’m so proud of her,” she said, blowing off some steam. “I don’t think people realize how difficult it was to get to where she was.”
“As a woman, it’s not easy to be elected to Congress, folks. I don’t trust certain things.”
“She navigated the major thickets of California politics to become attorney general, and it was really tough,” McCaskill continued. “I mean, this is really difficult.”
“People don’t believe in women being responsible” – Ah, that old misogynistic perspective. What would the Democratic Party be without it and its sister, “Everyone is a Racist”?
