One of Sunshine State’s offseason risers has returned to the market.
Sefner (Fla.) Armwood Secondary Prospect D’Montae Tims is no longer committed Missouri Tiger.
“It’s been abolished today,” he told rivals. “I’m just reopening recruitment… I’m exploring my options.”
Tim collected several scholarship offers in the New Year, initially pledging to the Tigers in early April. He says the program will remain among those considering moving forward.
In the meantime, the three-star talent is expected to be in Peach State over the weekend and visit both Georgia and Georgia Institute of Technology While in the area.
The uprising, which raised Armwood High to a 12-1 record in 2024, also reported an increase in interest from programs such as: Texas A&M, Miami and Floridaespecially.
Tim was on board with Mizou as recruitment was ongoing, so there were always other programs to jump into the race beyond the pledge date. At the time, Floridians were considering visiting other candidates on their growing scholarship offer list.
The Tigers will remain thick in this, but increased contact with the SEC and ACC programs close to their home due to their outstanding Tampa area also draws his attention. The trip will be taken to most of the new programs to ask about him, and the resulting offers could work well by the time the final university decision is down.
