Infusion and Chronic Care Management Company UPTIV Health has announced a partnership with automation platform Lamar Health to implement AI-driven automation for referral intake and pre-certification processes.
UPTIV provides infusion therapy to patients with chronic conditions via a hybrid model that integrates customized clinical care with a digital platform.
In addition to traditional infusion services, UPTIV offers care coordination, mental health coaching and other care services for all.
Lamar Health offers an AI-powered automation platform specifically aimed at specialized drug workflows.

Lamar’s platform connects to major EHR systems and learns to improve the authentication process.
The partnership aims to integrate Lamar Health’s specialized medication-centric AI platform into UPTIV Health’s operations, streamline management workflows and reduce time to treatment for patients with chronic conditions.
Lamar Health’s AI platform automates complex administrative tasks through previous authorization processes. This states that it is usually troublesome and is affected by delays.
The aim is to reduce the timeline of approval and enable patients to start treatment earlier. Reduce labor costs associated with intake and pre-authorization processes, redistributing staff time from documents to patient interaction, increasing time from referral to treatment, facilitating connections with EHRs and removing unnecessary data entry and documentation.

In 2024, UPTIV Health partnered with Lyn Health Merge chronic care management and osmotic therapy through an offering called uptiv360. Through the partnership, patients undergo an onboarding process via the app, followed by a nurse practitioner’s assessment during the infusion visit.
Within 48 hours, patients will connect with the Lyn Health Care team and access virtual chronic care management care, including behavioral health services.
Also last year, Uptiv Health opened an injection center in Troy, Michigan.
The center will work with referral doctors, hospital system and payers to provide seamless and accessible care for patients with infusion symptoms with chronic symptoms, including multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, severe asthma and allergies.
UPTIV launched seed funds for $7.5 million in 2023 with the launch of its flagship Infusion Center in Westland, Michigan.
