Suspect who shot and killed United Healthcare CEO brian thompson Manhattan may have used specialized weapons more common on farms… at least according to police.

New York City Police Department Chief of Detectives joseph kenney Police investigators told reporters on Friday that they were looking into the possibility that the gunman used a veterinary gun, a large gun commonly used on ranches and farms.
Kenney said the special, larger guns are used on animals because “if you have to subdue the animal, you can shoot the animal without making a lot of noise.”
So far, police say no gun has been recovered, but the New York City Police Department said: backpack found An investigation is underway at Central Park as the property may belong to the suspect.
As we reported, this backpack appears to be Peak Designs’ Everyday Backpack…a bag for serious photographers, but also designed for casual use.
Police said video footage shows the suspect riding his bike from the scene of the shooting to Central Park, then biking out and taking a taxi to the Port Authority bus terminal.
Police believe he may have left New York City entirely on the bus and traveled out of state.
The NYPD previously said the suspect arrived in New York by bus from Atlanta and checked into a hostel using false identification. Police released a photo of the suspect, but his identity has not been determined.
