Supporters of former President Donald Trump love a good conspiracy theory, even if it makes absolutely no sense to anyone with two brain cells. What’s the latest rant to come out of the MAGA online safe space? Apparently, Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz lied about the identity of his dog. At least, that’s the nonsense they’ve been telling themselves all morning.
“Yup, this is Tim Waltz tweeting about his dog Scout. The only problem is, they are two completely different dogs,” Dustin Grage tweeted, which has had over 2.4 million views on X as of this writing.

Scott Adams, the cartoonist who created Dilbert and was fired from every major newspaper in the country for his open racism, spread conspiracy theories and said, “AI or real?Adams is a far-right nutjob who believes he recently “hypnotized” himself with ChatGPT.
Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri also participated.
“Why would Tim Waltz do something like this? It’s creepy.” And ‘Weird,'” Schmidt tweeted, apparently trying to turn the “weird” allegations Walz has made against Republicans.
But what’s actually going on in these photos? Let’s take a closer look. The first tweet was sent in June 2022 and shows Waltz with a black dog.
“Sending special birthday wishes to our favorite pup, Scout,” Waltz tweeted.
The second tweet from the screenshot that went viral was sent in October 2022 and shows Waltz petting a brown dog with the message, “I can’t think of a better way to spend a beautiful fall day than at the dog park. I know Scout enjoyed it.”
Is this some weird attempt by Walz to swap out his dog while still using the same name? Of course not. As commenters on Walz’s Instagram page pointed out, Walz was at the dog park with Scout that day in October, but it was just another dog he was petting. The Minnesota governor was not claiming the brown dog was his dog, Scout.

Trump supporters are clearly struggling to attack Waltz. When Kamala Harris picked him as her running mate in this election, most Americans had never heard of him. But as he became more widely known, he has proven to be incredibly popular. Waltz’s approval rating is currently at +5.6 points. Likeability ratingAccording to the FiveThirtyEight national polling average, less than a month after appearing on the national stage, Trump has a negative approval rating of -10.3 points. Compare that to the approval rating of Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance: Likeability ratingThere’s really no comparison.
Trump’s vice presidential candidateTampon TimYesterday on Truth Social, Walz was praised for his very popular policy of “providing free tampons to every student in school,” a policy that was praised when Walz was governor. And the MAGA crowd is hell-bent on making Walz, a very normal guy with good policies, look like a weirdo. They live in a cruel online echo chamber and probably won’t realize how corrupt and evil they are until it’s too late and Harris wins the White House.
