“This month, former President Donald Trump’s media company announced it was making its first big acquisition: technology for streaming TV on the Twitter-like platform Truth Social.” ProPublica I will report.
“There was a mystery at the heart of this deal. One of the counterparties to the deal was an obscure company called JedTech LLC that wasn’t mentioned in Trump Media’s press release but was named in securities filings. Based in a north Louisiana village, the company has virtually no public footprint or website and is unknown even to streaming technology experts.”
“Interviews and public records reveal that the man behind JedTech is Louisiana energy mogul James Davison. A major Republican donor, he has significant influence in state and federal government, is known for his personal friendship with former presidents and for using his wealth to help people in politics.”
“This acquisition gives Mr. Trump’s company a business relationship with an individual with significant vested interests in the federal government.”
