A tug of war has been taking place between House and Senate Republicans over how the bill will be processed to extend Trump’s tax cuts for the rich. Senate Republicans wanted to split their priorities into multiple bills. Speakers Mike Johnson and Trump forced and forced one bill in the Senate.

The biggest change is that Senate Republicans have taken Medicaid cuts even more extreme.
Sen. Tom Tillis (R-NC) essentially left the Senate over Medicaid changes. And even though the Senate is likely to pass something today or tomorrow, that doesn’t mean smooth sailing and blue skies ahead.

Currently, there is a huge amount of skepticism in the House Republican Congress to allow the passage of a settlement bill this week. I’m not saying they won’t. But remodeling, conservatives, leadership, etc. Everyone thinks this will be extremely difficult.
The House bill was passed only in one vote, so if one of the 12 moderates decides to abandon it, the bill will sink. What House Republicans ultimately learn is that one of the exiles from Trump is being targeted, but a group of exiles is empowering them with numbers.
