Senator Chris Van Hollen went to El Salvador to secure the release of Kilmer Abrego Garcia, and after being illegally deported to the Maryland constitutional book to a prison in El Salvador, he verified the health and condition of his Maryland constitutional book.
It was deeply unsettling that Van Hollen reported to the Americans after meeting the Vice President of El Salvador.
Senator Van Hollen (D-MD) video:
Van Hollen told the press:
President Trump and our Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Vice President of the United States would like to emphasize that Abrego Garcia is lying when he was charged with a crime or as part of MS 13, saying it is a lie.
And this is a lie to hide what they did. So, what did they do?
So they illegally acquitted Abrego Garcia from Maryland and sent him to the sect, the infamous prison in El Salvador.
In fact, it’s a prison where they say they send the worst, worst, right? That’s where they send terrorists.
Currently, a US court says there is no evidence to support the accusation that he is part of MS 13. So I asked the Vice President. I asked the Vice President if El Salvador was part of MS 13 or if there was evidence that he had committed a crime. If Abrego Garcia has not committed a crime and a US court finds he has been illegally taken to the US and there is no evidence that the El Salvador government is part of MS-13. Why is El Salvador continuing to hold him in CECOT?
And his answer was, the Trump administration, uh, it’s paying. El Salvador, the Salvador government keeps him cecot.
And I pointed out that neither the Salvadoran government nor the Trump administration offered evidence to support the allegations that he committed any kind of criminal act.
The Trump administration has illegally accused and deported legal residents, and they have not been sent back home because the administration doesn’t want the public to hear about their illegal activities and the situation in the El Salvador prisons.
Senator Van Hollen has promised that the story is not gone. Many other senators and members of the Congress plan to come to El Salvador.
What the Trump administration is doing is a crime, and Republicans in Congress need to stand up and join the fight to stop this administration.
