Tottenham will play Champions League football after winning the Europa League next season and have a big summer for them as Anjipost Koglu’s future is still uncertain. Sky Sports News ‘ Michael Bridge will answer your questions in our forwarding Q&A.
“There are no decisions regarding Ange’s future yet.”
Clintyboy77: Does Tottenham’s transfer budget win Champions League football?
Michael Bridge: For now, it’s difficult to say accurate numbers. There’s still a lot of air, and that’s early days.
You need to take into consideration the situation of Ange Postecoglou, the new appointment at the board level, and many things clearly needed to go out on the first team.
Tony Barghese: Are you hoping that Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy will go with the majority and cut ties with him in the summer?
Michael Bridge: There are no decisions yet regarding Postecoglou. The Australian is currently on vacation. It was a very long season – a season that is unparalleled. I want to watch season 3.
Ken: Will Daniel Levy provide the funding needed for Tottenham to perform better next season?
Michael Bridge: That’s what I believe. All clubs know the constraints of profit and sustainability rules, but the Spurs need to be strengthened to push forward, and I’m sure they will.
“The Spurs need more experienced players.”
Christian THFC: Will the club be signing more experienced and veteran players this summer?
Michael Bridge: I think clubs need players with Champions League experience.
The current team is not ready for Champions League football. Teens Lucas Bergval and Archie Gray spent the year under their belts, but they are still young.
It’s important to add more experiences. It doesn’t necessarily mean age, but he’s a player who plays at a very top level and can juggle Champions League football and Premier League.
You also need to get much less injuries. The Spurs had a real struggle to bring their team together during Christmas until February, killing hopes for the league season.
Experience is most important in this transfer window, and I think perhaps there is no emphasis on future purchases.
“We will make a major advancement in the position we are considering.”
TM: Which area is the Spurs they are trying to strengthen and do clubs have to sell to buy?
Michael Bridge: The Spurs don’t have to sell to buy, and Champions League qualifications are huge for the club. Apart from the goalkeeping department, all areas are visible.
If Christian Romero stays, the midfield and front will be priorities.
Hemis: Given the injuries this season, is it a priority for another creative or box-to-box midfielder to take part? If so, who or what type of player profile?
Michael Bridge: I think that’s certainly the area the Spurs are watching.
A wide advancement will also be considered. There is no guarantee as to whether Matiss Tell will permanently move loans from Bayern Munich, as Captain Hyun Min’s son will likely reduce the game. And Dejan Krucevsky’s troublesome injuries are my priority.
D: Is Leroy Sane a wide advance?
Michael Bridge: He is offered to the Spurs and Arsenal, but he can also stay in Bayern Munich. I don’t think the Spurs would sign him.
Lwazi: Is RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco the target of the Spurs?
Michael Bridge: It’s around £85 million to £900 million, which I don’t think is likely.
“Eze and Guehee are praised by the Spurs.”
Sam: Will Ebekieze from Crystal Palace come to Spurs? And do you have any real interest?
Michael Bridge: Eze has long had worshippers at the Spurs, but he is one player Crystal Palace, and Eagles boss Oliver Grasner is determined to keep it.
European football at Selhurst Park helps them, but the palace is much more likely to hear defender Mark Guech’s offer than Eze.
CEO1994: If Christian Romero goes, how likely is it to sign Mark Guech?
Michael Bridge: Spurs like Guehi – a big bid was made on him towards the end of the winter window – and he is homemade. But Champions League qualification means that Romero isn’t that close to progress anywhere.
Tottenham attempted Gaehi and Fikayo Tomori in January, but it remains to be seen whether they will return for either player.
“Atletico Madrid is very enthusiastic about Romero.”
Richard C: And can we see a famous departure? Romero is making noise now suggesting he will be staying, but perhaps Richarrison will go to raise money? Solanke did a good job but it should be the second choice.
Michael Bridge: I’m a huge Romero fan and for me, the Spurs have been missing his bite when they lost semis and finals in the past few years.
Despite his contract period, he will be charged a very large fee for him to be sold.
It is understandable that Atletico Madrid is extremely enthusiastic about Romero and is particularly interested in the person in charge of Argentina’s Diego Simeone.
However, Romero also had a great relationship with Post-Coglu, and his Instagram posts after winning the Europa League were positive. He writes: “We have to continue. This is the way.”
Postecoglou also publicly said that the club should be trying to keep Romero as he is the “winner.”
Meanwhile, the Spurs will hear Richarrison’s offer, but the club is very pleased with Dominique Solanke.
“There are no decisions yet regarding Tel or Returning Loan Players.”
Alfie Waites: Is there a chance that Mathys Tel will permanently sign at the end of his loan?
Michael Bridge: There has been no decision on the phone yet, as Tottenham has a £45 million purchase option.
Harry Fat: What are the plans for the return loan player?
Michael Bridge: I think Solomon and Brian Gill will find a new club, but no decision has been made on Solomon or the players on loan.
Like most situations at Spurs, there is no decision yet about the future of the manager, and things are in the air.
Solomon had an incredible season in Leeds and helped them return to the Premier League to get promotions.
Josh Keeley and Jamie Donley are both on loan at Leighton Orient on the League One Side, and Will Lanccia, who has returned from West Brom, is aiming for a championship loan.
Your views before the Spurs transfer window
dking: At the moment, there is only one question. The club must respond promptly to address uncertainty. You can then begin planning.
expensive: Our form this season shows that we are badly unequipped to deal with multiple competitions, especially constant injuries. Assuming that about six players are leaving, Sergio Regiron, Ben Davis, Richarrison, Yves Bisouma, Timo Werner and possibly Christian Romero will leave.
Zack Gifford: Tottenham must sign No. 6 with Ebeki Eze to compete for more trophies.
James G: Whatever our transfer budget is, we need to be the player that the Premier League demonstrates to improve our 11. Ebeleci Eze, Carlos Valleva and Antoine Semeño are all players we need, and positions we are not enough.
Stephen Berry: We definitely recommend that Connor Gallagher return to the UK.
George94: Keep Ange Postecoglou. Sign Ebeki Eze. I sign Kevin Danso forever. Sign Mathys Tel forever. Signature leroy sane.
Pete Challis: The Spurs obviously need a decent goalkeeper. Will they ever go to Ramsdale? Probably the best available.
John Cook: There cannot be denied that the Spurs had a terrible season in the league. If we had played the other teams in the finals, we would have been beaten firmly. As the game with Brighton showed, nothing really has changed. How can I give Anji another season?
Simonlpz: Is there any perception that top clubs should be able to compete for trophies without completely mentioning the league campaign? It seems like an excuse was easy, especially at the end of the season.
Christian THFC: After such a horrible league season and additional requests for Champions League, will the club make their error come true and try to sign more experienced players this summer? I hope that I can’t bring about another 22 league defeats and that the players can’t.
TJC: Go and get Joa Parghín from Bayern Munich and Brian Mbeumo from Brentford!
