This mission is called Starlink 11-3will launch 22 new Starlink internet satellites into orbit in SpaceX’s growing mega-constellation. This will be the 16th flight of Falcon 9’s first stage on this mission, and SpaceX hopes to recover the stage by landing it on the drone ship Course I Still Love You immediately after liftoff. The mission, called “Astranis: From One to Many,” will launch four small “MicroGEO” communications satellites to provide terrestrial connectivity to a variety of customers. Two satellites will provide in-flight connectivity to customers in Anubu, Colorado, one will serve customers in the Philippines, and Astranis will use the fourth satellite as a so-called “UtilitySat for various customers.”
This is SpaceX’s second attempt to launch the Astranis mission. The launch attempt on December 21st was canceled at the T-0 mark.
