Words that serve as clues to solve in-game hints
Your goal is to find hidden words that match the theme of the puzzle. If you get stuck, find all the words you can. Every time it finds three words with four or more letters, Strands displays one of the theme words. These are the words I used to give you clues, but you can use any word you can find that is four letters or longer.
- gale, play, pose, clue, pause, fumble, grope, rope, rope, shelter, hail, hales, mash, bail, rack
today’s strand puzzle answer
These are answers that connect to the theme. The goal of the puzzle is to find all the words, including spangrams, which are theme words, that reach from one side of the puzzle to the other. Once you get them all (I always thought it was 8 at first, but I learned you can change that number), all the letters on the board are used. The non-spangram answer is:
- Blue, gray, killer whale, right, sperm, baleen, beluga whale, humpback whale.
