Today’s Best Sports Betting Picks: College Basketball Prediction for February 22nd

Docket has lots of great college basketball on Saturday. I want to include as many exciting games as possible in my list of best bets for the day. So don’t waste your time and don’t make it right.

The next bet does not guarantee a winner, but it qualifies as my best bet on Saturday, February 22nd.

Tennessee vs Texas A&M

The SEC has packed a great basketball team this season, with No. 6 Tennessee (21-5, 8-5) and No. 7 Texas A&M (20-6, 9-4) two of the best. Tennessee has one of the best defenses in the country (No. 4). Texas A&M is ranked 32nd in the country, but is second best in the SEC in Tennessee.

Both were 4-1 in the final five games. Texas A&M lost to Mississippi State, while Tennessee lost to Kentucky State. I’m leaning towards a complete victory over Tennessee, but I bet that both defenses play well. The tip-off is at 12pm.

Iowa vs Houston

Tennessee and Texas A&M rap-ups, No. 8 Iowa (21-5, 11-4) and No. Houston (22-4, 14-1) will start at 2pm ET.

The dynamic here is interesting. Houston has the number one defense on the land (57.6 points per game). However, their last six opponents all scored more. Iowa has the fourth-best defense in the Big 12 (No. 51), but also has the second-best offense (No. 29).

Houston will curb the Iowa attack, but their attack is not enough to cover a 12.5-point spread against a good cyclone defense.

Georgia vs Auburn

Hmm… how will the game go between Georgia (16-10, 4-9) and the first team in the country, Auburn (24-2, 12-1)? Focusing on the Bulldogs’ 2-8 runs over the last 10 games, the answer seems clear. Auber destroys these people. But will they cover?

The Bulldogs are struggling and the Tigers are the number one team in the nation, so your gut probably says yes. However, Auburn defeated Georgia in just early in the season (70-68 on January 18th). The Tigers haven’t beat the team with big numbers recently.

Georgia defeated two of his final 10 opponents over 17.5 points. They win this game easily, but don’t rely on them to cover (game time is 4pm ET).

Florida vs LSU

LSU (14-12, 3-10) ended their seven-game losing streak on Valentine’s Day, followed by another victory, which is South Carolina. Starting today, they embark on a terrifying five-game gauntlet. All five games will face ranked teams, three in the top 10, starting with the second Florida (23-3, 10-3).

The Gators have been on the roll since their surprising defeat to Tennessee on February 1st (64-44). Even with the support from the home crowd, we don’t know how LSU can keep up with them. The tip-off is at 6pm.

Duke vs. Illinois

No. 3 Duke bouncing off a recent loss to Clemson, 77-71, earning the trio’s dominant victory (21, 36, 18 points). Illinois appeared in the game, losing two in a row, far from healthy roster. If the Fighting Illini is healthy and close to full strength, they may have a chance (the game starts at 8pm).
