I’m not a “craven” for rewatching. This film was the final claw of ffin, once a Sony Spider-Man universe.
plot
Craven’s complicated relationship with his ruthless father motivates him to start off on the path of vengeance and not only become the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared one. Masu.
review
Aaron Taylor Johnson is not disappointed with Hunter’s honorable role in Craven, offering excellent performances as Craven. You can see the appearances of Nikolai Kravinov and Dmitri Kravinov by Russell Crowe and Fred Hetinger, offering a fantastic performance as the villainous Kravinov family. Alessandro Nivola plays the role of Alexei Schitzevich and it was good to see another way of looking at the rhino persona.
Aaron really portrays the characters well, and the R rating is definitely worthy of the film. Some scenes are very intense. I really wanted to see the Craven feature in the wide Marvel Cinematic Universe fighting Spider-Man, or even try something like Punisher.
Aaron Taylor Johnson as Hunter Craven (Sonny Pictures)
I rate Hunter two out of five. There are many action scenes in the film, but as it remains a Marvel movie, there are many factors to consider when unpacking the production. Kraven is another hero who was a brilliant villain in Marvel’s larger scheme, considering the rivalry that Kraven had alongside Spider-Man. There is no golden thread to the great universe of Sony Spider-Man. It makes it feel like another random standalone film in the universe and asks the question, “Did you really need Craven the Hunter?” Also, Kraven the Hunter is a part of the Sony Spider-Man universe and parcel, but there is no actual appearance or mention of Spider-Man. We are blessed with a variety of cameos in this film, but we haven’t seen any important characters. If there is no actual link between the other entries in the Sony Spider-Man universe, the golden thread is broken. The story’s big villain, Sai was handled differently in terms of design compared to previous Spider-Man entries such as the amazing Spider-Man 2, but as a major villain, Sai was too fast in the film . Finally, there is no post-credits scene at the end, so there’s no need to wait until the end. This gives the message that there may no longer be future works in the Sony Spider-Man universe. Is Sony Spider-Man’s universe dead at this point? Have you finally reached the end of Sony’s Marvel Universe?
This is the trailer for Kraven the Hunter (Marvel Entertainment). Catch it at your local cinema. The film is available at IMAX, Select Cinema, located in Cape Town, South Africa.
