It appears the New York Yankees are unable to take a break as they faced fears of another injury when the Bronx bombers lost 6-5 to the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday.
During the match, veteran baseman Paul Goldschmidt ended the game early after complaining about back issues. He was removed from the game in three innings by manager Aaron Boone.
Yankees fans attacked training staff with concerns about another injury to the player. The team is already missing Lewis Gill for the start of the season due to CY Young winner Jerrit Cole, who is heading out for the 2025 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery this month.

“Throwing training staff to prison,” the fans wrote.
“Brian Cashman really built the most vulnerable roster in MLB history,” he wrote. Another fan.
“I’ll fire that fuc ****training staff.” Another angry fan.
However, some fans tried to remain positive after the veteran slugger reportedly felt “great” after the early exit on Monday.
“I always say it’s best to get injured during a meaningless game.” I wrote a fan.
“Then I said he was fine and laughed at the idea of missing out on the first day.”
Paul Goldschmidt provides positive updates about his injuries after early exit from spring training games
With the Yankees having their first day just a few days away, another serious injury in the hit lineup could potentially spell out the trouble of last year’s World Series runner-up. However, the veteran baseman shared a positive update after the Blue Jays match.
“My back hurts a bit, so he just decided to stop there after three innings,” Goldschmidt said. “I can play a few innings, and you could probably play the entire game. In spring training, you’re trying to be smarter. This was probably time. [when] There’s no need to push something through and make it even more painful. ”
The Yankees can already use the presence of Paul Goldschmidt in their lineup without governing ALCS MVP Giancarlo Stanton for the start of the season.
If the veteran slugger can’t make a first-day roster, the Yankees could turn to catcher/first bass man Ben Rice, who smoked spring training on Monday for their fourth home run with the Blue Jays.
