Thousands marched in Los Angeles, Phoenix and other cities across the United States on Thursday to protest Trump administration policies and protest workers’ rights on May Day, also known as International Labor Day.
The theme of the Downtown Los Angeles rally was “One struggle, One fight, Workers unite.”
The Los Angeles Mayday Union said it expects the biggest turnout. The coalition includes almost 90 unions and thousands of workers and residents.
The Main Los Angeles Slurry began at 9am on the West Olympics and South Figueroa Street. The march continued to the Metropolitan Detention Center. Other events took place later in Boyle Heights and MacArthur Park.
Also, hundreds of people protested Thursday across San Diego County, a variety of cities from Carlsbad to Barrio Logan. KSWB-TV It has been reported.
Dozens of anti-Trump protests have been held in the San Francisco Gulf region.
In Phoenix, around 3,000 people attended the rally and marching, starting at the Capitol and ending at Sandra Deio Connor U.S. Court.

In addition to Mayday’s rally and marching, 20,000 University of California workers reportedly took a one-day strike at UC campus, hospitals and laboratories on Thursday. University experts and technical employees, and the federation of U.S., county and city employee coalitions, allegedly the freeze created a staffing understaffing.
The university responded that the freeze only applies to future recruitment, and that UC has consistently come to the table to enter into agreements with the union. The lecture is scheduled to resume on May 8th.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Labor Union faced criticism from Los Angeles County Republican Party chair Roxanne Hoge, saying teachers need to prioritize their children.
“As President Reagan once said about teachers, ‘You are a sacred mission. You are the watchman of America’s dreams,” Hoge said in a statement sent to Center Square.
“Sadly, public education in our state is often a nightmare, thanks to UTLA’s misguided priorities,” Hoge said of the United Teachers Los Angeles Labor Union.

“Teachers unions should focus their efforts on a single goal to provide educational excellence to their children,” Hodge said. “Unrelated political intruders derail this. We support education, not indoctrination.”
