Thomas Cook India and SOTC Travel report a 35% increase in demand from female travelers across India, according to Women’s Travel Trends 2025, released today ahead of International Women’s Day.
The report highlights a significant change in women’s travel preferences, with the adventure experience seeing a 37% surge. Spa and wellness tourism rose 28%, while cruise vacations rose 23%. The culinary experience showed growth of 17%, and the milestone celebration emerged as an important driver with 35% of women choosing to travel for special occasions.
Additionally, female travelers spend 15-20% year-on-year, with budgets ranging from £1-1.5 lakh for domestic travel to 4-5 lakh for long distance destinations. Travel durations are increasing in all categories.

This report shows strong interest from both metropolitan areas and tier 2-3 cities. Popular domestic destinations include Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Goa, but international favourites are Thailand, Malaysia and Switzerland.
