The Dallas Cowboys officially announced the 10th head coach in franchise history after a highly publicized search that includes two well-known names, Dion Sanders and Pete Carroll.
Ultimately, the franchise looked inwards and decided to promote offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to head coach and launch a new era of Cowboys’ football. Fans have suggested that there have been mixed reactions to employment, mainly because Schottenheimer had previously worked for Mike McCarthy, and that the team may continue with some of McCarthy’s ideas. Furthermore, Schottenheimer did not call him an offensive coordinator, causing even more concern.
Former Cowboys All-Pro wide receiver Des Bryant has expressed a more pessimistic view on Schottenheimer’s employment. In an interview with SiriusXM, Bryant shared his thoughts on Schottenheimer’s employment, accusing Dallas of “not being serious” about the future.

“It felt like the Cowboys were rebuilding last year. They proved me right,” Bryant said. “When I see Duck Prescott and his offense, I see what you need to succeed in this league. I don’t see that.”

“If you read between the lines and pay attention to what’s going on, the sentence is on the wall. That’s what I get from all of this.”
“Schotti has no experience. It’s not knocking him. I want him to do good. We have to wait and see. “Around him to succeed.” Do you have the best works?”
Re-find Cowboys HC search before Brian Schottenheimer hires
“During the coaching search, the Dallas Cowboys were linked mainly to three names. After breaking up with Mike McCarthy, Jerry Jones reached out to Deon Sanders.
The search was then narrowed down to former attack coordinator Kellen Moore and attack coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.
After interviewing Schottenheimer, the Cowboys immediately scheduled their second round with the company’s OC. The interview lasted longer, with Jerry Jones acknowledging the risks associated with hiring Schottenheimer as head coach, but was optimistic about the franchise’s future.
Meanwhile, Kellen Moore is expected to become the New Orleans Saints’ next head coach when the Super Bowl ends on Sunday.
