Instead of disputing the facts of Jack Smith’s application, the Donald Trump campaign is crying out about a witch hunt.
When CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Kristen Holmes what specific facts the Trump campaign was disputing in its filing, she replied:
Well, so far I don’t hear them disputing the facts there. It’s saying the same things we’ve heard over and over: this is a witch hunt, this is a hoax, this is. All political. It’s not like they parse out what exactly is wrong and provide examples.
One thing I’d like to touch on here on the political side of this is, as Paula said, maybe you couldn’t tell from previous filings, but there haven’t been many headlines on this. is. One of the things we often talk about when we cover politics, which I learned from news coverage at the time, is that from about 60 days before an election to about 30 days before an election, the public isn’t paying attention. Therefore, the period is important. So this is not new to us, it’s not new to those who are following this closely, but it may be new to a lot of Americans who are paying attention to this election right now. And they listen to every word, trying to figure out exactly which candidate they want to vote for and why they’re voting for Donald Trump.. So some of these could be clear reminders to people days before they go to vote.

It is not normal for innocent people to not challenge evidence against them. One thing that stands out about Trump’s lawsuit is that he has not presented any evidence to prove his innocence. Where are President Trump’s documents and witnesses? Nothing. Where is the third party who will testify that President Trump did not commit a crime?
There aren’t any of those either. Jack Smith was able to produce a 180-page document containing evidence, and Trump responded with a witch hunt.
