“The Sea in Our Blood” – Repeated Island

in The sea in our blood (AOS Publishing, October 2024), Tara Pyfrom talks about the Bahamas surviving Hurricane Dorian and relocating to New Brunswick, Canada. Jeyran Main (I’ll review the story(April 11, 2025): The sea in our bloodshe weaves this personal bond with a fight for the survival of her family. With no immediate escape routes and no rescue in sight, Tara, Catherine, Hazel and their beloved dogs cling to each other in the midst of storm rage. When the flood rises and the winds show outside, they face the horrifying reality that they may not bring it to life. ”

explanation: This thrilling survival story brings back to the situation in Pie Fromm’s family, along with five dogs along with Tara, Catherine and daughter Hazel, as they face Hurricane Dorian, a Monster Category 5 storm on the Bahamian islands. Born and raised in a sea embrace, they fight for survival as the storm surges engulf the house and are stuck in the dreaded 185 mph winds. No escape or rescue available, they solidify their hopes in the darkened attic, waiting for the uncertain end of the storm. In the aftermath, they face evacuation and unimaginable losses as they navigate the difficult path to recovery. From PTSD to international relocation, family resilience is tested, but amid their trauma, they discover the enduring strength of their family and the healing of their unbreakable spirit.
