We started this site because we want to inform voters about the issues from a national perspective, with the impact of policies on working families, not Wall Street, at the center.
In the age of social media, it was easy to reach voters, but today, most of those avenues have been hijacked by corporations and big-money media. Things change. We are lucky to still have loyal readers, but with so many changes happening behind the scenes in Google Search, Google Ads payments sometimes being cut by up to 75% without notice, SEO writing and AI writing being rewarded, Net Neutrality ending under Trump, and corporate media teaming up with social media billionaires to own the “news” space, this is a business that cannot stand on its own. We have sustained this with our own money. This is our way of defending this democracy and its institutions.
