Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wants to increase the pace of artificial intelligence innovation in his company, so he is personally recruiting around 50 staff for the new Brain Trust. According to a Bloomberg report.
The new “Superintelligence Group” focuses primarily on artificial general information, or AGI achievement, so it approaches technology performance (or perhaps better) than humans on tasks.
According to the report, the new team will work closely with Zuckerberg, and the technologies they develop could be caught up in products that are focused on AI, such as the Meta AI chatbot and the company’s Meta AI Glasses Project. The team will also work with Scale AI, which provides data, AI models and apps to businesses. Scale ai CEO Alexandr Wang will be able to join Zuckerberg’s team, the report said.
Meta is delaying the release of its AI models amid speculation that the company is struggling with its Lama AI platform. It is actively competing with the world’s largest high-tech companies to promote Openai, Microsoft, Google, and even AI technology.
Unlike Openai and Google’s chatbots, Meta’s AI chatbots are included on their own platforms, such as Instagram and WhatsApp, and I feel they are primarily related to relevance. But if Meta can beat its rivals to AGI, it still exists in the opportunity to compete for your attention in our increasingly AI-driven world.
Meta representatives did not immediately return requests for comment.
