George Springer hit two home runs and the Toronto Blue Jays scored two runs in nine innings with a 8-7 victory in the visiting athletics on Saturday.
Addison Berger added a two-run explosion, while Beau Bichette had a solo shot for the Blue Jays who won four consecutive games.
Tyler Soderstrom hit a three-run homer, while Denzel Clark and Brent Rooker added a two-run explosion to track and field.
Toronto led 4-3 after the first innings.
Jacob Wilson and Rooker scored a single at the top of the innings of A, while Soderstrom hit a high slider for the second Homer in two games from opener Braydon Fisher.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. expanded his bass streak to 31 games with a single in Toronto’s first innings. Burger has destroyed a changeup from Gunnar Hogland (1-3) to the right. Springer and Daulton Varsho walked, and Nathan Lukes grounded the two-run single in the middle.
Clark’s first major league homer recovered his track and field lead in two innings. An explosion into the left second deck of Toronto’s fastball on the first pitch won Lewis Urias, who was walking.
Easton Lucas recalled for the game from Triple A Buffalo, replacing Fisher, allowing five runs, four hits and a walk with one strikeout.
Bichette tied the game at the second 5-5, lining up the sinker to the left for his 100th career homer.
Springer led third, centered around Homer, while Toronto led 6-5. The Varsho then doubled in the centre, but easily went outside when he stepped in third and fell into his bag. He grabbed the left hamstring after second place.
Springer was home again in the fifth explosion to the centre. Toronto led 8-5 in the sixth, scoring from third on the wild pitch after Ernie Clement led by double on the ninth hit of the series.
Lucas (3-2) pitched a scoreless inning of 4 2/3 before Brendon Little took over to seventh and Jariel Rodriguez followed.
In the case of A, Tyler Ferguson replaced Hogland, allowing eight runs, 10 hits and two strikeouts in six innings.
Jeff Hoffman scored Toronto’s 13th save despite allowing Rooker 2 Run Homer for the ninth.
