The two doctors indicted Matthew Perry‘s cause of death is being investigated by the California Medical Board, but his medical license has not been suspended…at least not yet.
Dr. Mark Chavez and Dr. Salvador Plasencia Two doctors have been charged with conspiring to illegally supply ketamine to the late Friends star.
The state’s medical board told TMZ it is aware of the criminal charges against Dr. Chavez and Plascencia and is investigating the matter.
However, the board said both doctors’ medical licenses remain valid and that no disciplinary action has been taken against them.

Chavez has admitted to selling the drugs to Plascencia, and prosecutors allege Chavez obtained the ketamine by writing false prescriptions.
Prosecutors say Dr. Plascencia, a physician at the urgent care center, frequently injected Matthew with large doses of ketamine and also administered it at Perry’s home.
Dr. Plascencia has been charged with conspiracy to distribute ketamine, distribution of ketamine resulting in death, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and tampering with records and forgery in connection with a federal investigation. He has pleaded not guilty.
