Japan’s atomic bomb survivors’ group Nippon Hidankyo was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for its efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons.

The Nobel Prize ceremony will be held in Oslo, Norway, on December 10, the anniversary of the death of Swedish inventor and philanthropist Alfred Nobel.
