What’s so great about Texas Roadhouse Rolls?
If you’ve ever bitten into a Texas Roadhouse roll, you know how tender and satisfying it is. The special cinnamon butter makes it even more delicious. The water hydrates the dough, causing it to rise and become more fluffy. The butter gives it just the right amount of fat, and the milk holds everything together to create an incredibly soft dough.
However, the key factor is patience. This gives the yeast time to rise and develop the flavor. After making the rolls, let them rise again until at least doubled in size. You’ll be the star when your family walks through the door to the enticing aroma of freshly baked bread.
Ingredient list
- dry ingredients – All-purpose flour, active dry yeast, sugar and salt give the roll structure and rise. Bread flour works similarly to other forms of yeast (instant, fast-acting, baking yeast).
- wet ingredients – Milk, unsalted butter, and water give the rolls a rich, buttery flavor that makes them light and soft. Eggs add fat, flavor, and nice color.
- cinnamon honey butter – Butter, powdered sugar, honey and cinnamon combine to perfectly complement this amazing roll.
