Texas A&M Lands Legacy Recruiting maintains 4-star WR Michael Brown
Texas A&M I’ll run Michael Brown’s family.
After another visit back to the station, the Legacy 4-star recruits made it official. Brown committed to Aggie.
Texas A&M won early for Brown, the 35th WR in the Rivals 250 from the legacy in Houston (Texas) in Alabama, Arkansas and Kansas.
“This decision wasn’t just about football. It was about faith. I learned about God through the process, prayed for clarity, and trusted me that he would guide me in the right direction,” Brown told rivals. “I’m sure I know I’m walking for purpose – not pressure. Texas A&M is where he put it in my heart.”
“I’ve been around A&M for the rest of my life, and being an Aggie is part of me. I’ve seen what it’s getting close to – and I have a model of it in my home,” he continued. His father, former Aggies LB Reggie Brown. “Value, pride, standards – they’ve always resonated with me. It’s nothing new to me. It’s within me. I’m ready to continue the tradition and leave my mark.”
Brown is familiar with College Station and has seen countless opportunities given the Aggies’ football program and family connections.
Texas A&M is a team that beats over the long term.
“A&M felt like home. The moment I stepped onto campus, I saw a vision of where the program was heading and I knew I was a part of it,” the four-star WR explained. “I believe I can make an impact and I’m excited to grow on and off the field. I know that coach (hormone) Wiggins can reach my full potential and help me reach the next level.”
The four-star WR returned to campus with multiple games at Kyle Field last fall and again at the turn of the New Year for Junior Day. Brown visited the team to advance his oral commitment after opening spring practice this week.
Brown is scheduled to return to campus June 20-22 for his official visit.
“Director Wiggins not only recruited me – he studied me. When he broke my film and showed me exactly how I fit into the A&M scheme, I knew it was real,” he explained. “His attention to detail, his experience, and the way he develops talent — that makes him stand out. I’m excited to be in his receiver’s room and be coached by someone who really knows how to enhance my game.”
