Members of the victorious Indian team, who defeated South Africa in the final to win the 2024 T20 World Cup with the West Indies and the United States, presented the diamond ring by the BCCI at the annual awards night ceremony.
A video shared by BCCI on its official Instagram handle saw a player led by skipper Rohit Sharma presented the ring.
In addition to this presentation, the most famous moment of the evening came when legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar was awarded the Kol CK Nayudhu Lifetime Achievement Award by the Governing Body.
Rahul Dravid, the team’s head coach at the time, was not attending the ceremony. Star Batter Virat Kohli also did not attend the ceremony as he was busy taking part in the Ranji Trophy in Delhi.

India is currently playing a three-match ODI series against England
Team India is currently playing a three-match ODI series against England at home. He comfortably won the first match of the series with four wickets at Nagpur on Thursday, February 6th.
The second and third matches of the series will take place at Cuttack and Ahmedabad on February 9th and February 12th, respectively. England need to come back strong to keep the series alive.
After losing the T20I series, ahead of One Day 1-4, England appears to have experienced a poorly-shaped run. No magic other than magic will work in their favor as they try to turn their fortunes around with Cuttack.
India and the UK will then spurt into Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, with the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy taking place later this month. However, the Indian match will only take place in the UAE due to political tensions with Pakistan.
